Introducing Tenyo
For 35 years, Tenyo has been serving up its signature garlic ramen in Osaka. Their flavorful broth comes in shoyu (soy sauce), miso, and spicy miso, and you can further customize your bowl with free condiments like kimchi, garlic, and garlic chives.
Now, Tenyo has expanded to Bangkok, with locations in Thong Lo, Thaniya, and Nana. Today, we’re visiting the Nana branch, which stays open late—until 4:00 AM from Monday to Saturday (3:00 AM on Sundays)—perfect for a post-night-out ramen fix!
Inside the Restaurant

Seating & Atmosphere
The Nana branch offers plenty of seating:
- 2 four-person tables
- 2 two-person tables
- 3 single seats
- 4 counter seats facing outward
- 8 regular counter seats
I arrived at 9:30 PM on a Saturday, and surprisingly, it wasn’t too crowded. There were four groups of foreign customers and only one Japanese guest. With a good number of seats available, you likely won’t have to wait long to enjoy your bowl.
Today’s Order
Special Miso Ramen

- Whole roasted garlic cloves (2 pieces) + chopped garlic
- Toppings: Bean sprouts, green onions, half a soft-boiled egg, seaweed, and two thick slices of chashu (pork).
Despite the generous garlic toppings, the bowl doesn’t overwhelm you with its aroma right away. It’s much milder than a Jiro-style ramen, but still, don’t expect to be kiss-ready after eating this! 😆
The chashu is thick, well-seasoned, and absolutely delicious.
At your table, you’ll find free add-ons like kimchi, pickled garlic, chopped garlic, garlic chives, and soy sauce. The broth itself isn’t overly rich, so if you like a bolder flavor, feel free to mix and match your own toppings.

Salmon & Ikura (Salmon Roe) Onigiri

- The crispy seaweed wrapping makes a big difference!
- At 60 THB, it seemed pricey at first, but the generous filling and high-quality seaweed made it worth every baht.
